Company Profile \ Why do I need an immigration counsel?

It is utmost important to prepare an application 'right' at the very beginning. Responsible professional practitioners will not take any client if there is no foundation for a successful application. The choice of the category and the documents to submit, the professional presentation of client and application, and finally the choice of the immigration category are essential for the success of an application. For example, an application could be successful for Quebec or Manitoba, however, would fail if submitted to the federal system.

For being able to do so one needs in-depth knowledge of the Immigration Act & Regulations 2002, Immigration Manuals, RIM-Memos and case law. The submission then will make relevant references in addressing the strengths and potential weaknesses of a case beforehand. Needless to say that even simple mistakes, such as missing a signature, a document, a date or other information could result in a delay of several months and huge additional costs as the application could be returned back to the applicant.

Also we receive quite often inquiries from applicants who experience difficulties after the interview took place, because the application was solidly wrong prepared from the beginning. It is rather difficult for us if not impossible in most cases to correct a negative decision of the immigration officer, which has been given based on the unsatisfactory submitted information. Very often the only solution left is to re-submit the whole application with the unavoidable acceptance of the resulting time and money loss.

Please note, that only Immigration Practitioners registered with CSIC or the Law Society are allowed to submit immigration applications to Citizenship and Immigration Canada and to represent a client. This ensures that clients are dealing with responsible professionals who are well educated in Canadian immigration legislation and complying with ethical and regulatory guidelines.

Almost half of Canadian immigration practitioners including us are also a member of CAPIC (Canadian Society of Professional Immigration Consultants) and have the benefit of receiving upfront information and education about immigration issues.

As a final remark: An Immigration Professional is not successful because he has 'someone on the inside'. Immigration officers conduct their work under increased public and legal scrutiny, and must keep an 'arm's length' relationship to practitioners. Therefore, a practitioner is successful only because of hard work, which he is doing in an efficient, effective and outstanding manner based on his EXPERIENCE.
